Alessia and Mario met officially at age nineteen when their friend groups collided. Back in the day, Mario used to be a club promoter, so he helped to plan Alessia’s nineteenth birthday party at a club. Alessia has previously modeled for a photographer friend of her mother’s, so when the photographer called her to arrange for a photo shoot with the couple at the lakeshore, she agreed without hesitation. Little did she know, the session was secretly an engagement photo shoot!

All went according to plan on the day when the photographer asked Mario to do something that would make Alessia smile — he responded by getting down on one knee and popping the question!

After four pandemic-related postponements and only three weeks’ notice that they could secure their original venue, the couple was (finally!) married on July 30, 2022, in Toronto, Ontario with event planning by Sincerely your Events.
